| blood alcohol content (BAC) | |||
The amount of alcohol in your blood or breath. It is explained as a percent. It is also known as blood alcohol concentration or blood alcohol level (BAL). People react differently to the effects of alcohol so it is very hard to judge your own BAC. You may not feel “drunk,” but may still be legally impaired. Your BAC can be measured by a breath test called a breathalyser or a blood test. In Canada, the legal limit for driving a vehicle is .08%. For drivers with a graduated licence you must have a 0 % level. |
